Default IP Pad Custom Switch What is it?

Does anyone know what option "IP Pad Custom Switch" is?
It's listed on the window sticker for a 1980 Pontiac Grand Am.
It wasn't ordered with rear defrost, but was added at the dealer.

Here's a link with pictures..

The Items listed in that LH column of the 1980 Window Sticker are intended to show the additional or replacement features for "this" model, in this case a Grand Am, versus what is considered the Base Model for "this" model, in this case a Lemans.

If you check the 1980 Sales Brochure you will see that "in addition to or replacing Lemans Interior features" the Grand Am interior includes "Custom-stitched Appearance on Instrument Panel Pad".

This is what the Window Sticker is telling you.

I can't be sure, but pretty sure that "Switch" is a typo and the description should have read "IP PAD CUSTOM STITCH" to match what was suggested by the Sales Brochure. Apparently, the proof reader was asleep at the switch when that verbiage was created and the rest is history.

I'm not familiar with the '80 Grand Am or Lemans but if you compared the two IP Pads, I'd guess the "custom-stitched appearance" on the IP Pad of the Grand Am would be obvious to you.

Thanks John. I found what you were referring to.
I sure thought the Grand Lemans used this stitched dash in 79 and 80. Guess not.
I've had (8) 1979 Grand Ams, and they all had the stitched dash. I don't have the 79 dealer book though.
Thanks for the help on this...

Here's the page from the brochure.
