Now it's more like we can't manage our company properly and have too much executive overhead that don't produce anything, so we're going to take some money out of your paycheck to keep us afloat and you should be damn glad you even have a job.

Oh and BTW, and can you work faster too?

Don't let the door hit you in the a$$ when you leave.

True story. 6 figure brass walks through our shop and decides he don't like the baseball hats the guys in manufacturing are wearing, so he orders six cases of new hats with the company logo on it. Meantime, no one notices a million dollar machine has yet to be built with a scheduled customer run off in 3 days!....................All the employees look good with their new hats on though!

Back to topic!

Here's a good example of what i'm looking for. This 'giant' has been in this spot since the '50s.I remember it being dressed as Santa for Chrismas. He used to hold a tire at one time.He was restored a few years ago and stands in front of a tire shop.

That's one of the old 'muffler men'. Their story is documented on this website:

That track was called Miami Dragway back in the 60s, but it was actually just north in Hollywood, FL. All of the American carmakers used to come down in the winter to this track to test the latest experimental motors. They handed out flyers on that Dec. day in 1992 that read, "The Last Drag Race." Very sad stuff because there has never been a replacement and now you have to drive up to West Palm Beach to race.

On a side note, an arena called the Sportatorium sat next to the track. I saw Van Halen there in 1981. Now, I'd bet that less than 1% of the people in the area know that the track or arena ever existed. Like Mick Jagger sang,"Time waits for no one and it won't wait for me."
