There's probably still some of them out there, but since the Ford trucks that used them were from the early 1960s finding any of them still in a salvage yard more than 50 years later will be difficult.

I have an NOS one myself, still in the Ford box. I'm not looking to sell it though.

Ford prime movers used them into the mid 1970s mounted on the side of the hoods.Mine cost $50 from a truck wrecker.

Care to share the part number on the box?

When Ford heavy truck was sold to Freightliner,, I bought all the NOS ones that were still left in inventory. 23 in all at 11 dollars & change each. Still have 2 left for my own projects!

Default scoop

If you can not find an original, steel hood scoop, buy a fiberglass reproduction one. I think A-1 Fiberglass makes them.

Jeff,
Give me a call if you get over this way. 319-827-1943. We are around most days, except for family get togethers and drag racing.

I am patiently waiting on several things to happen. I work for the local school. I repair school buses. Most of the Oklahoma teachers are on strike right now, for darn good reasons!
My good friend and his wife moved back to Muscatine, last October. The POCI deal is in late June. The Meltdown Drags are at Byron, I'll. the 3rd weekend in July. I would like to make the trip so he can attend some sort of event. He has Parkinson's and is hanging in there...but thankfully no longer drives.
I pray the strike is over soon. If the strike should linger, we could have school into June. Today we used up our last snow day (7))
People ask me what I think about the work stoppage. I tell them I grew up in Iowa, a state that boast about its educational excellence!

I'm still searching for part number that Pontiac supposedly issued them.
