Yep...could use the money elsewhere.

Thought about setting down some wood (like you said), in the event that clearance is a problem. Can angle into/out of the driveway also. Maybe I just bite the bullet and get the 2" drop package with the Bilstein B6 HDs.

I guess I like thinking out loud.

Just wait until I start a engine/tranny rebuild thread. I'm sure there are a ton more opinions.

That looks sweet! Love the stance and look with the 18" Bandits. Are you running a staggered set-up, 40 series or 35's?

I went from Bilstein to coil over and never noticed any negative affects on dampening, in fact the coil overs have two different dampening knobs to play with, you get to dial in the feel you like or require.

BMR upper/lower A-arms with tall ball joints (Delrin/poly) and Viking coil-overs with 18" US Mags Ramblers and Nitto 555 (245/45 & 275/40) and rear adjustable upper control arms (BMR) with a UMI rear shock tower brace. PST poly body mounts and bushings.

Hey I have a 1970 Gold GTO too, prior to going with your setup did you consider doing something like this below?

I'm not sure if I was aware of that UMI setup, but don't remember spending near $3900 for what I did. IIRC...it was more like $2500 for everything.

I reached out to BMR last night to see if they can quote on the equivalent setup. I have drums in the front and will have to convert to disc (which is a good thing). I read through some of your posts and didn't see who you went with, do you mind sharing?

I'm in Canada too, near Toronto.

I went with Right Stuff's Big Brake conversion kit (had OE disc brakes in the front). Call Ed Stahurski at Right Stuff and he'll guide you, if you want to go that route.
