I have 2 extra shaker seals and am wondering if there is a way to tell which one is original. My cars and the one extra one have small holes along the back side. The other seal which I thought was off a 70 has no holes. Anyone know the difference?

My '70 has the original shaker and seal. The seal has 1/8" diameter holes, spaced 2" apart all the way around the bottom of edge where it wraps under the shaker. Some are punched all the way through, some aren't.

This one is the first one I have seen without those holes. Anyone have an original with no holes?

I can only speak of '77 and newer TA's... All the original ones I've seen didn't have any holes. If memory serves, Year One and NPD sell 2 type: with holes for non-original and without holes for original.

I also have a stack of shaker scoops in my garage where only a couple have the holes, and those are saturated with silocone with means they've been replaced.

Hope this helps...
Kevin
