I just talked to PUI today and they have approved the black and they are expecting to have it ready to make in the next 30-60 days.

I think it is strange to see multiple references to "Hobnail" from '77. I have all the Pontiac sales brochures and dozens of these cars in my yard as well as seeing them up close since they were new. Hobnail came out in '79 and was also used in '80. That is the only years.
I am very happy to see this material being made though.
I would like to see substantial evidence of Pontiac using Hobnail in '77 and '78. thank you

Steve is correct. 77 & 78 cars came with a "Lombardy" cloth and 79-80 cars used the hobnail cloth.

So we have
Lombardy - 1977-78
Hobsnail - 1979-80
Pimlico - 1981

Anyone one know where to find the Pimlico cloth, or come across it in a catalog?

I didn't know the name of the vertical stripe patern '81 only material. As for finding it. I would keep my eyes open on ebay. I have a '81 blue turbo car tucked away for my planned museum and was lucky enough to find considerable yardage of NOS correct blue strip material for this car. Wether or not, '81 material will be reproduced or not, I don't know.
