1973-82? Trim Ring Reproduction Project
Steve and I have been working on this project for well over two years. Some of you may have seen my first mention of it on my Blue formula thread, post #49 located here:
http://http://forums.maxperformancei...=726215&page=3 Some of you may have seen the last prototype sample Steve had a few weeks ago at MCACN. After numerous tooling changes and improvements, I think we have arrived at a really good reproduction of a really needed part. Here are some photos of the last sample. I would really like to know what you all think. I have released the first run for production and will keep you updated as to what the first run looks like when it arrives. Anyway, I thought the Trim Ring Project should have it's own thread at this point. Thanks, James |

Those look nice.
But, I thought the 73 and up had a more rounded brushed look? Those look a little closer to the 70-72? (of course the pics may not let them look right to me)

Those are very representative of the 73 up trim ring including the polished outer edge. Nicely done.
The early one have no rounding at all. Much more edgy looking.

Thanks again.
It has been a long and expensive project, but very rewarding to see the final result. James |

Right now if you like. Here is the ebay listing, or if you prefer you can send me a PM and I'll send you an invoice. I do not know the shipping cost, but with your address details, I will be able to estimate it and PM you back what it will be. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me.
If you order 4, I will give you a discount to help with the freight, but only if you order by sending me a PM will I be able to do that. I'm still kind of a Neophyte when it comes to Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/222255534243...84.m1555.l2649 Thanks, James |
