Default Trouble with plastic trim fasteners...would love to know if there is a secret.

I'm replacing the headliner in my 74 SD-455 and I'm having trouble refitting the plastic trim that goes over the door opening. The plastic trim fasteners did not come out with the trim piece. I thought before I went after them and tried to pry them out so they could be refitted with the piece, I would ask if anyone knows if they are available.

Also, what is the best way to reinstall that piece. Is it better to try to pry the old ones out or can the trim piece some how be pushed back on with the fastener in place?

Below is a picture of what the fastener looks like. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

James

You can find those fasteners at most auto parts stores and every auto paint supply store I've ever been to. You'll destroy them when removing trim so discard and replace.
