1965 power to manual steering.
ive got a 65 Lemans with power steering. wanting to convert to manual. I understand i need to swap the steering box, pitman arm, and rag joint, and pullies and brackets. anything else? is the steering shaft a different size? If i dont find a donor car or someone to swap, what is the best box to buy? thanks.

Rusty, as far as I know Power and Manual steering boxes mount the same.
I have a manual steering box on my 66 GTO and I like it. If fact I'd rather have manual over power steering. Had manual steering on my first 66 GTO too and liked it even back then. I think it gives a better feel of the highway. Even from a dead stop it's fairly easy to turn the car as long as you move a little bit. Not so if you aren't moving.
