Can you please send me pictures of the exhaust manifolds? Please include the casting numbers and date codes as well as how much you want for them. You can email the pictures to mcronk19@gmail.com

Thanks!

If you have one please send pictures of tanks and core (should be a 4 core) and let me know how much you want for it. By the way the radiator needs to be for a manual transmission car.

I would be interested in one of those intake manifolds for my deuce. Invoice date for my car is 5/27/68 so the earlier date would work better for me but I will wait to see which one Mcronk is more interested in.....then I can talk to you about he remaining one please.

Thanks

My car invoice date is 5/31/68. I could use either one. Can you email me pictures of both? You can send pictures to mcronk19@gmail.com. Please include price too.

Thanks Mark Cronk.

I bought the RA II that is number 20 on the list. It was the car for sale on here for quite a while. The original engine is long gone but I am trying to put together a correct package.

I have seen pictures of your car and it is gorgeous. Hope to paint mine back to original Verdoro soon.

Thanks Mark. Verdoro Green is a great looking color and maybe a little iconic for these cars as well.....at least I think so anyway.

I drove mine around the neighborhood last night to test out a carb that I bought from Jim Mino. It ran better and really pulls pretty hard above 4000 rpm so it was fun.

Good luck with your project. Not enough of these left so it is great that you are putting #20 back together as best as you can.

My car is #18. SR block and heads. Trans is correct 1968 date code with a Pontiac partial VIN but not original to the car. Axle is original so that is something at least. Still runs and drives pretty nice. It doesnt seem to mind that the original engine isnt there any longer.

Your car sounds similar to mine. I have SR R96A heads but a 72 400 block with a Armasteel crank and 041 cam. My trans is also correct 68 date code with a partial Pontiac VIN that is somewhat close to the VIN on my car. Axle is original ZL code. Car has 61,000 miles (stated as actual miles on previous title). The interioir is mostly original. I had a 67 Firebird 400 car that was painted correctly in Verdoro. That color was offered in spring of 67 on Firebirds. I used to dislike that color because it seemed so boring and just about every 68 GTO was that same color. These days done in a base coat clear coat system the color has some pop to it. I had a 68 GTO back in the day that was Verdoro with a Parchment interior. That was a pretty combination.

If you don't mind if have plenty of questions about thesemcars, and would like to have folks who I can ask questions.

Of course. Many here are eager to help. We share what we know and learn in the process. Sometimes we think we know something and discover through discussion that we have much more to learn. Interesting stuff like different finishes for the water pump pulley and different spare tire jack assemblies all depending on assembly plant locations or early vs late builds etc.

Fun stuff. Can make you crazy at times but as long as you dont let it handicap your progress then it is all good.

I agree. I did a 69 GTO concourse restoration years ago. Then I decided I wanted to drive my cars. This car will be driven locally and at events so I am not going to sweat all the concourse type details. Just make it aso correct as possible and still enjoy driving it.
