Default Non-default stripes on a Judge

I'm sure most here know it was possible to specify something other than the default stripe on a Judge. Here's one my friend sent me from Iola. I can't tell if it's Cardinal Red or a non-stock Carousel Red, but the stripes are not something that you'd see on a Cardinal Red car. That's not to say that it's stock to the car, but it caught my eye.

Even has the correct Lime green border!!

Without searching the forums, what was the correct stripe for black 70 Judges? The red/blue/yellow, or the pink/blue/whites?

I've seen both, assume the red/blue/yellow is right.

Sorry to play this role, but it's "Complementary."

So you think it goes well? I'm not so sure. My friend confirmed it was probably Carousel Red.

That's probably right. I've never seen a pink stripe on a black car. I think pink stripes are correct for Orbit Orange, Mint Turquoise, Atoll Blue, Bermuda Blue, and maybe something else. I've seen it on Palladium Silver but that was not the default choice.

My car is polar white and is a non default stripe car as evidence by the stripe color being noted as XX on the build sheet. The problem is that I have not found any evidence yet of what color they actually were. Mark

The paint and stripes on the car in question are Default colors.

As in ..... De Fault of De Owner !

Dr.Doug did a 70 Judge with "- -" special paint code, in Carousel Red.
Was originally some alligator green.
Believe he was in Illinois ... is that where Iola is ?

I could see him getting mad at his car and putting those stripes on it just for shets and giggles.

I like it - really stands out and says: "Look at me!" I remember when my mom and dad built their custom home in 71. There were four of us kids and we each got to choose the colors for our own room. One of my sisters chose a hot pink and bright green combo for her room and that was cool back in the day. Wouldn't surprise me to know that some wierd stripe/color combos got ordered on some Judges as well.

Not sure of what i will put on the car when it finally get done. I like the defalut stripe, the wife likes the black/red/yellow. I think the pink would be wild and the green ones also look cool on the white so very torn as by the build sheet the ones l Like are out. Mark

Mark, your car is white and came with black/red/yellow? I think that would look cool and different, and 99% of the people who look at it won't realize it's different.

I've seen a white/green car and it looked stunning, but you have the opportunity to use the pink stripes and blow everyone away.

Diego i am not sure what color it came with originally, but i know it was not the blue fact rec stripe. With that I think black yellow red is the most mainstream, the wife would go for the green, but there is no way she would let me go with pink. My 7 year old daughter on the other hand....... I would like to go with the blue anyhow. Mark

Ram4King mentioned how good the pinky stripes look on a white car in an older post in another thread - but I've never seen any photos. I think it would look really cool.
