1931 Pontiac Front Fenders Interchangeability
Hi all, I recently purchased a 1931 Pontiac Model 401 Four Door Sedan. The front fenders and running boards are in pretty bad shape. It doesn't seem like there's much out there for sale. I was wondering if they can be interchanged with a Chevy or Oldsmobile. If someone has an idea, please let me know. Thank you!

Don't give up on repairing original fenders. I couldn't obtain a replcement for my 1917 Buick fender after being wrecked, so I worked my butt off "rebuilding" it- here are before- and after- photos. I'll need a true body-and-paint guy to finish it, but pure determination got me this far.

That;s what would have happened to the fender when that car was new. People fixed things. Many years ago I was in a body shop and on the counter there was a before and after picture of a 1930's sedan that they had repaired. The car had been in a bad wreck and they had repaired the car Without replacing any sheet metal.

Buick fender??
Looks like piece of barn roof pulled out of a tree after the tornado! Wow. Impressive.

Well, so far no luck in finding much for this car. I will probably take the advice and get to work on the fenders & such. Thanks to all and great job Jack on that 1917 Buick fender.

Seems to me there's a better chance of an Oakland fender being identical, rather than a Chev or Olds.
