I'm wondering if it is worth trying on my car. What are some of the pro's and con's on NOS? I just rebuilt the motor with 9.5 comp. and forged pistons. The block is a 2 bolt main though and stock cast rods. The crank is also stock, thanks.

If you have stock rods, forget about nitrous.

With stock rods stay under a 150 shot. The biggest thing is to have the proper fuel system in place, LEAN will kill the motor faster than anything.

Many many people have run 150 horse systems without problems with stock rods.

yes it is will worth putting nitrous on if you want a kick in the pants once in awhile. as far as using it with stock rods that should not be any problem as long as it is fueled correctly and timing is where it is suppose to be. i've used nitrous on a cast piston & rod comb. for the last three years and haven't hurt a thing. just be careful with it.

As long as you limit your engine RPM you will be fine. I ran about 125 hp of nitrous with stock rods for about 4 years. The engine was fine when I took it apart. I still have the rods and pistons from that engine.
