Default '74 Grand Am Radio Delete

If you ordered a Grand Am without a radio, did they use a separate delete plate cover or was the entire panel made to not accept a radio? Anyone have a photo of one?
Thanks!

It was a seprate plastic cover that went in the hole where the radio would have been. My car was originally radio delete. I remember seeing the plate, but unfortunately the original owner lost it after he installed an aftemarket cassette player.

Radio delete was not uncommon in those days since factory AM/FM/8-tracks were expensive (about a week's wages) compared to aftermarket cassette players which were 1/3 the price.
