Talking I did 3 muscle ups today!

I've been working on it for about 6 months. At a body weight of 190 pounds(41yrs old). How manyis here cansaw do them?

A muscle up is a pull up will you pull yourself pass the bar and end up all the way over top bar
the bar will be at your waist level. youtube has some bad versions of them. some on there have a lot of swinging to get over the top. I paused at the middle and then went over.

Mine usually consist of going out to the garage and deciding which GTO or T/A I’m gonna “muscle up” on the 4-spd while “De-Sooting” the combustion chambers out on the open road...

About 40 years ago it would be no problem.
We used to get on the roofs of the school to retrieve baseballs, by doing that.
Just raise yourself to the waist then climb on the roof.

Now-a-days only worry about one muscle being able to get up.

Good going John.

I could probably manage a few 10 years ago when I was lifting heavy (for me) but my right shoulder is trash now from a fall. I'm 6'3" and have long arms so moves like that were always a challenge.

A guy who used to work for me, ex-Marine in his 50's, could jump up and grab the top of an 8' or 9' concrete wall with his fingers and pull himself up and over. He embarrassed many a younger guy with that move. He also smoked a couple packs of camels a day. That really freaked them out - me too. I'd always tell them "don't try this at home kids".

Sounds like me. Torn rotater cuff and a carpal tunnel elbow both on the right side. I can't even throw a baseball with authority and they ache almost every day. Makes it hard to sleep. .

Depends on how high the bar is and how far I have to reach across it to grab another beer.
