Default My 1978 ta w 72 ta 400 4 speed

I have a 1978 tran am with cowl plate saying 11 d for assembly date. Is that Nov. 1978 or Nov. 1977. I replaced missing carb with correct carb 17058263 and it's dated 0348 and am curious to know ow if date is correct or not. It was my hight scho friends car and be cracked a head in high school. So I gave him one from 1975 but how can I identify if it's 6x 4 like the original one. I hope it is but I'm not 100% sure. I'm just doing a drivers quality restore on mine and enjoying it. Oh anyone know correct starter number too

The cowl tag date is for Nov 1977, 4th week .

Look about half way down on this link for ID of head:

Head Search

The '0348' on carb is the 34th day of 1978

I’m no expert, but the dates can be pretty early on 78/79 stuff depending on the part. I believe the last blocks were cast in late 77 for both the 78/79 year. Heads and intakes may also be that way. Carb and distributor are probably the only things dated correctly to the car.
