It's not a twin to the first one but a twin to this one. The first one I posted has the waterneck on the front like the tri power intakes. Yours like on top like the regular intakes.
The little hole and the bolt hole connect to the timing cover on the 61?-63? style motors on your intake.

Wait, I reread it. So that one is not yours? Is yours like that one or like the first one I posted? The one you just posted is a 5161.
the 5029s and 5161s should both have both style coolant holes in the intake and you will need to plug up the front one if you're running it on 55-60 heads and you'll need to plug the rear one if you're using a 61-64 heads.

Finally got into the shop and pulled down the offy 5162 intake. Someone has polished this intake at some point, and you will notice that it is missing the adapters for the AFBs. But the difference in some of the other 5162s that I have seen is that the water outlet on mine is in the front instead of on the top of the intake. Opinions?

Can you post a picture of the bottom?
It looks identical to my 5029 which isn't a 5029 because it fits both early style heads. Let me double check the number on my 5162 and make sure mine is a 5162 a 5162

The last 'fuzzy' pic is the bottom. The batteries on my camera were going out. You can barely make out '5162' in the pic, but I can guarantee you that is what it says.

I believe what it says but I have a 5029 intake that is not a 5029 but clearly has 5029 on the bottom.
I wanted to see that coolant passages on the front of the intake.

Or if you could just verify that it has both sets of coolant passages

Here are the pics. It doesn't look like it has both set of coolant passages to me, what do you think?

That's weird, it only has the 55-60 style coolant passages. Interesting

It definitely has 5162 cast into the bottom. Isn't that the application for 61-4?

5162 should fit both 55-60 AND 61-64. Yours does not have the holes for the 61-64 style. Yours will only fit 55-60 heads.
IDK why but apparently some intakes must be cast wrong. Like I said earlier, I have a 5029 that is supposed to ONLY fit 55-60 but mine has both 55-50 and 61-64 holes. I don't know what's up with that

Interesting, There's another 5162 with the early style t stat housing location. I wonder if his has the holes for the 61-64 or if they're missing like yours are.
