Here's my Tempest that I just picked up a few weeks go. My first 2 projects were building a new package tray and replacing the carpet. I ended up using a couple of black loop pile area rugs and it layed down better than I thought it would. The back half of the carpet was original and the front half was house carpet from the PO that was shredded and poorly fitted. All of it was terribly faded from red to orange.

Hey AZMike that sounds really sweet!

My latest project is a 326 convertible, not sure yet just how far I'm going with it. Might part it out.

Here is an update on my 63 convertible. The 326 has been replaced with a freshly rebuilt 389 from a 63 Catalina. I just needed to transplant my crank to hook up to the original rope shaft.

I have a lot of the final assembly done but for the last 2 months it has been at the upholstery shop.

What was supposed to be a 6 month project is going on 3.5 years now. I REALLY hope to have everything ready for the Goodguys Nationals show here in Scottsdale Nov 16-18th.

Just picked up this 62 4cyl 2 speed Florida car. Motor has a home already but the car is going to get the straight axle ladder bar treatment

I thought I would bring this topic back up. My second 63 convertible is still in "paint jail", it "should be" going into the paint booth this coming weekend. I'm not holding my breath, its been 22 months since I dropped it off. The doors, hoods and fenders are now on so getting closer...

My girl is home from the last (hopefully) shop and the family and I even drove her to church on Sunday. I'm a happy boy.

Thanks Keith. I know I took a lot of your time with all of my questions.

You are a wonderful resource for us here. Are you going to the Pontiac show at Firebird in 2 weeks? I hope to see you there.

Default Getting closer

My 63 Lemans convertible project. I should be getting the engine soon and I'm now working on installing the convertible top. Putting in a 326 HO engine I found as the original block was cracked. Hope to have completed for the May 9th 2020 show in Tustin, CA.

Gotta get the 61 up on stands & tear out the transaxle. Transmission wont shift out of low once warmed up. Changed the modulator & regulator, no difference. has to be the seals on the clutch pack leaking . Time to pull the transmission apart.

I had the same problem and it turned out to be the valve body.
