Maybe it was another site, but I thought this happened to this site, and my current profile was actually from the second time I joined.
You're not mistaken. It actually happened in early '04 (before your current join date)

I was a member before we had to redo everything, so my join date is before this... but I'm in the 90's

Just passed being a member on here for 20 years.

Joined December, 1999. Nuts. Time flies driving Pontiacs.

Thanks for all the info guys. Only post every other blue moon, but have learned a lot.

Like Brian said there were a handful of us between '96 & '99. Then when the board got revamped in Late 1999 we all had to re-join. It's amazing how much it's grown since then!

Amazing, indeed! I don't remember if it was just CP, or PY too, but there was this one character named Poncho Indian- that guy used to crack me up... definitely liked to stir the pot, but lots of good laughs!

Jim Doran, now there's a name I haven't seen here in a long time!
Jim's probably the guy that got me to join here, all those years ago.

Pretty sure I was a member before 12/99, but definitely not the earliest. I think 12/99 is about the time the board was revamped and I had to rejoin.

It was a pretty wild and mostly unmoderated ride for the first couple years.

My my.. Took a quick look at this link, saw some names there that we don't see any more... Took a random punt and clicked on page 7 and I see my name there with post I made about a trip to the Pontiac Nationals in Easter 2001. Cripes...2001!!! That's 19 years ago. I might have thought it was 12 or 13 years back. Makes me worry how time is slipping past so quickly..
