Here are my two cents for they are worth. I have seen perfectly restored Judges in less desirable colors get killed at auction and local sales. Sierra Yellow, MayfAir Maize, verdoro green, baja gold, can I say green again get killed with resale value. I know that some folks are going to be mad with what I have stated but it is a fact. I love all colors on a GTO. I had a complete numbers matching convertible Judge. Auto, a/c , windows , locks, hoodtach and gauges . It was verdoro green with a saddle top and interior. When I went to sell it. I got 20% less then a blue, black, orange or red Judge vert in the same condition. My car was numbers matching throughout and All original sheetmetAl. My point is, when you have a less popular color, painting it Black, orbit orange, etc will either be the same value as the less popular color and in some cases increase it's value. In the end, it's your car and you need to be happy.

Been awhile since I last posted...
My health has gotten in the way of my online activities the last few months and I have tried to leave the shop alone and not pester them. Progress has been slow because of the tedious nature of the body shell repairs. A donor car from Arizona was supplied by Larry at Butler Classics, he was kind enough to let us drag the shell up to Grafton and cut off what was needed to do proper repairs to the cowl/firewall area. Sections were grafted in rather than trying to repair the rust. This car is an oddity for sure- places most GTO's rust (like the panel between the rear quarters and the trunk floor) are in very good shape, but there's some places around that cowl that just had us scratching our heads.
The new floor pan looks spectacular, the rear inner wheelwells have been patched/repaired, the trunk floor has been touched up but is original. I gave Andrew the ok to take on a few smaller projects and that were waiting, he was kind enough to ask. I have plenty of toys to play with in the meantime. Things are going to start moving fast again, as the body was put back on the frame for now so the NOS rear quarters can be fitted and hung. As soon as today the driver-side 1/4 should be tacked up. I'm getting excited again. A LOT of work has been done to that cowl/firewall area. Hard to tell where the parts have been grafted in place... Trunk floor was solid save for a few small spots that have been repaired. No patch panels required at all... Extensive repairs to the cowl on this side also, grafted in from the donor car. You can see one of the pieces where the passenger's feet would rest. That area was pretty bad before. The worst of the rust was on this 1/4 panel. It was cut away to allow room to work on the inner wells and trunk floor. This panel should be off the car by today or tomorrow... Hope to have some decent updates in the coming days...

Thanks Jason. I have been watching, your progress has been much advanced from where mine is. It helps to have other toys in the toybox, or else I'd probably be going nuts by now. They always take more time and $$$$ than initially expected. It comes with the territory I suppose...

You will have one nice Judge once your finished. My 69 is just a base model and to some an undesirable color (Expresso Brown with a Starlight Black painted roof) and I have been told that if it is painted a color offered in the year that it does not hurt the value. I still cannot bring myself to re-paint it. Hope your health gets better.

Quick question are you having any chrome done? If so get it to your plater now. This time of year lead time jumps from 6 weeks out to 14-16 fast. I have first hand exporience as I work for one up here just south of Green Bay.
