Default Lever shocks

Hi I'm new this group
Just wondering if anybody has ever rebuilt lever shocks I have a 1939 Pontiac that I'd like to do that too if you guys got any info it would be well appreciated

Lots of options out there, I know that shops advertise in Hemmings Motor news.
People swear that those things work pretty well if restored
Or search the Googler.

Are they leaking? If you want to stiffen them up, I was told to ful them ith 90 weight.

Many, many years ago I did a pair of MG lever shocks. If I remember right it was a simple measure of replacing the seals. I have no idea what the seals in a 39 Pontiac look like or where to get them. If they are not working I'd simply take them apart and see if I could match up the seals.
