Default WTB: 61-64 Catalina or 64-67 Tempest/Lemans

Probably going to be easier to find a Cat, but figured I'd throw the other ones out there just in case.

Buddy and I are building a nostalgia S/S car to run in the new Southeast Gasser S/S class. Really looking for a 61-64 Catalina but a 64-67 Tempest/Lemans would work too.

2-door sedan would be preferred, but hardtop is good too. Gotta have a decent body and a serviceable interior. Paint quality doesn't matter, and as long as the interior is complete that's all that matters there.

Don't particularly need a drivetrain, we're building a 428 Poncho and backing it with a 4-spd, but one would be nice as I like to collect Pontiac motors in the corner of my shop.

In no hurry, we just started on the motor so this is a long term deal. We're fine holding out for the right car at the right price. Looking for something $3k and under.

There's been a 64 sedan Catalina on the milwaukee craigslist for a while. You might try there. I'd sell you my 61 2dr Sedan ,but I want way more than 3 grand.

Just looked and didn't see that one. I guess I should have clarified that I am in the Raleigh/Durham area in NC so somewhere close to here would be preferred.

Default 62 Catalina

Hi! I have a 62 two door post car. See pix. Fully functional, complete car. BTW, was thinking of putting 4spd behind motor but, need later model engine due to starter in 62 bell housing design issues. Any ideas? Thanks.

Yeah, don't mind going over depending on the condition of the car.

A long way from you, but on Portland Oregon craigslist is a '63 Catalina/Starchief sedan for $1995.00 and a '67 GTO project car for cheap. Also out west on Reno craigslist is a '63 Catalina coupe in original shape for $4,000. This one has nice desert patina.
