Hi...
Catching up on some old threads. I consider myself lucky to have been able to assemble a decent set of 8-lugs back in the mid-80's which have served me well. A friend glass beaded them, I masked the edges of the fins, alumiprepped them, and sprayed them the correct silver-gray. I had them turned, and was aware of minor corrosion (what's minor, and for how long?) between the drums and the linings... So, one day soon I'll need to reline them. Anyway, I'm very curious as to how this all worked out with the overheating drum. Any news?
