I'm not too computer savvy when it comes to posting pix but here is a link to a pix of my 65 Cat with Torque Thrusts. It's in the middle of the second row.

Thanks

This car belonged to a "Stephan" in Puyallup. He hadn't had it very long. Puyallup/Federal way are not too far apart, so could be the same car. Black interior. I have of course wondered about the history since I don't have his contact info. A friend of mine bought from him (after I passed sight unseen) then I bartered with him a year later to get the car. It was nicer than Stephan described it, and I had a 66 Bonne at the time. No room for 2 extra cars.

Holy crap, it might be the car then. My step dad had a 65 Bonneville Convertible and saw that car and always said he wanted to get a 2+2. That would be cool if it was the car. You should post up a couple of pics.

I only have a few pics right now. The car is at a friends shop for upgrades. it got a so-so paint a few years ago. The finish is ok, it's the body work that left something to be desired. rust bubbles coming through here and there and the whole passenger wheelwell is the wrong shape due to the amount of bondo used. That's why I've been asking about those panels. It has a grand prix rear seat, maybe all seats. PHS says it was a bucket seat no console car in the same colors.

That car is awesome. It is really hard to tell if that is the car or not. I only saw it a handful of times cause he went to Federal Way High and I went to Decatur. I think he ended up on scholorship to the University of Hawaii. Lucky kid all the way around. Anyway, if you find anymore history on the car let me know. I wish I could help you out with panels. I only have front inner wheelhouses and my car came with dry rustfree front fenders that I may have to use. I'll keep an eye out for you.

I know this is a thread about wheels but with a few exceptions it should have been called "can I see your white Catalinas" . Nice looking cars guys. My 2+2 is staying blue but the 4dr HT might look pretty dressed in white with some poverty caps.

white paint must have been cheap in 65, like vedero green in 68, as the majority of the 65's i see seem to be that color. either that or the people who bought the white cars just treated them better so they lasted longer.

someone should build one of them as a police interceptor. the black/white scheme would look cool on one of the 65's all dressed out with period lights and poverty caps.

I suppose these pics don't really belong here technically because of the year category, but thought I'd throw em out anyway. These are Wheel Vintiques Corvette style rallys with the GM 5 in bolt pattern for pickiups and vans. They were pretty reasonable---think I paid about $160 for all for from a vendor at Jefferson WI swap meet----they're 15 x 7 with basically no "offset". I had a big plan to make custom center caps for these and pretty much have them done, but have sort of come to like the "unfinished" look. I might add that these did not have enough visual "pop", and have since been replaced with chrome versions---which I like a lot better.

I like them. The smooth cap painted the wheel color would set if off. I like that car. You are right, the chrome might look better for a four door car. That look you would see with a post coupe or two door but hey, its your car do what you like. Again, I think it looks good.

those look good, it gives an idea of what a rally 1 would look like on a fullsize.

that's one option pontiac missed out on [ and should have offered]with the big cars.

I like the big wheels on the big cars but not the wires.

Its a very nice looking car, but the wheels just do nothing for me. IMO, those wheels clash with the classic styling of the car. You might as well put a big aluminum wing and a fart can on it. But, luckily they do make different styles and colors, because we all have different tastes.
