Eh that one needs too much rust repair. This one is pretty solid and already has nice interior and wouldn't take much mechanically to get it back on the road. That 62 Cat I got from you would still need to be completely gone through to make it safe.

Idk we could finish up the stroker build and put it in this one.

I'm thinking put this one back together and get it road ready again and drive it until i find my plain jane 62 cat.

Blackcat, is the 62 389 in this GP the original motor?

Rob! Am I hearing correctly that you have the original motor for the red shell 62 cat I hauled off your ranch???????? What's up with that? I'll trade you a running 400 for it.

I don't know where Kiki's car is but I think he used to live off South Congress, about 10 min from me. The 62 you sold me, as well as the maroon 62 I got from Alabama and the black 62 I got from FLA are all up in North Austin about 30 min. away at the body shop where nothing ever seems to happen, but I don't complain because it is free storage. I have a 62 GP from GA here that I converted over to 455 dual quad 4 speed that looks decent till you get close enough to see the damage to the paint.

Yes Chris, I have the original motor and tranny. It's just a low compression 2 barrel 215 hp motor and it was locked up and I planned on making a stroker out of it that I was going to put in my 62 GP. The motor has been disassembled and larry had it vatted but it's still pretty dirty and has some surface rust on it now but it's been in my garage and then larrys garage and back to mine. I still have the crank and the block and the tranny. The heads and bellhousing and flywheel I'm going to keep. If you really want it maybe we can work something out. I also have a good 63 motor and tranny I got from Larry.

The car is around ben white and s congress which is only about 25-30 miles from me. If you're pretty close I'd like to see the 455 dual quad if I have time before I go to work.

I'm about 10 miles or less from 71 and S. Congress, near the Y at Oak Hill. If I'm not stuck doing Kiddie Soccer in North BFE I'd be glad to meet up.

Man...If that cracked up, original 62 GP, factory 4 speed was in my neck of the woods, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. I'm drooling & slobbering right now! :P

Did you get that off Ebay? It looks like the one I saw on there recently. Did you get a hood with it? There was one on it when I saw it.

I really want the car. I haven't had a chance to go look at the car again but I'm fairly certain we can work out a deal. Hopefully this weekend I can drag it home.

Yeah-yeah- go ahead and make fun of my new purchase, and it's fancy paint job-- I'm cutting the trunk floor out and maybe taking off the drivers door and then selling what is left whole or in parts if anyone is interested. -- still have those headers- but getting closer to installing them!

haha I'm not making fun of you. That's a cool car

I went and looked it over again and I think I'm going to pull the trigger.

How do I get a PHS and how long does it take?

The code off the front of the block is 10AC 149211. What does that mean?

He said he ran it at some vintage drags deal and he said it ran a 14.8

the VIN is 962S4271. Does that tell anything? I guess the letter is where it's built?

I took a look at the code list I have and there is no 10 AC. There is a 10A which is a 64 block with a 2 bbl carb. I'm thinking it must be a 10C. That is for a 62 with 318 HP and a 4 spd and tri-power.
