Default How many Lucy blue Blue STD int 70 TA TA R3 M21 were made ?

If anyone knows what color breakdown of the 70 TA was vs the transmission equipped. I guessed maybe 300 ish ?

The one I used t o have was base type car 70 Blue/ Std blue interior , Ram Air III , no AC just heater and PS PB AM radio I think but was up optioned to M21 trans while still keeping 3.55 Safe T Track and no console either

Yeah what like just over a thousand total Trans Ams were painted blue in 1970... but the majority of Trans Am in general in 1970 were manuals - more than 50%.

On a 70 TA, the M20 was the standard transmission, and M21 was a no cost option. Selecting the M21 mandated 3.73 gears, and A/C was not available with that combo. Depending on when during the calendar the car was built/invoiced, there may have been small charges for Heavy Duty radiator (required with the 3.73 gears).

No numbers have been published that include both color and trans, but about a third of 70 T/As were blue. I would say your 300 guess for blue/M21 cars is about right.

I have a Lucy Blue 70 T/A automatic with a/c and column shift. I've only seen one white 70 T/A with Column shift, but I know more were made.

Does anybody know how many column shift automatics were made?
