Default Small or mini alternators

I'd like to install a small or mini alternator on my 68 firebird. I'd like @ 135 amp, in a smaller than normal case. I want to mount it down low close to the crank pully.

Anyone with experience or input?

Thanks,
Dave.

I'm also shopping for a mini-alternator. Take a look at East Coast Auto Electric's website. And search E-Bay's Parts & Accessories for "mini alternator"- you'll find 3 or 4 companies offering them.
What I've found won't help you, as I'm looking for a "micro" alternator of only about 50 Amps.

Try checking thru the Alterstart site at http://www.4alterstart.com/door/
Quick response on e-mail, and good on the phone. I think I'll be going with the 180 amp newer Yukon truck alternator.
I will have to fabricate my own low mount, and try to come up with some serpentine conversion items.
