1971 455 HO pulley question
I am trying to figure out the correct crankshaft and water pump pulleys for my 455 HO engine with manual transmission. Currently it has a crank pulley that is just over 7" diameter, but my other 455s have an 8" crank pulley. Is the smaller pulley a manual tranny part or should it have the 8" pulley on it. Thanks in advance.

Pulleys depends on how your car is equipped . PS, A/C etc.
Pulleys have part numbers stamped in them. Must be matched set to work properly. Non a/c cars usually have larger wp pulley and smaller crank pulley, a/c cars have larger crank pulley and smaller wp pulley. GTO restoration guide and websites will have the information about pulley numbers. thepontiacman@yahoo.com Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
