Default Spotlight on a 1970?

https://www.mecum.com/lots/AZ0320-42...iac-gto-judge/

Could not figure out how to capture and post just a pic. Perhaps not a Judge but regardless, has anyone seen a spotlight on a 70 gto?

Dan

Also has a fender mounted antenna and fake stick-on hood pins .
Few other oddities here and there
No underhood pics
Going to guess its a clone .

Probably a nice solid GTO in respect though

Spotlight not an option or accessory
Nice that it doesn't have a pop-up moonroof or a hood ornament, etc etc

The description says it has the judge option. That means its a judge not just a GTO. And the spot light is not in the description of the car on mecums website so i would guess it was a owner added peice.

Wrong color scoops
Wrong color decals
Quarter panel decals on BACKWARDS

Weird list of combined items posted here for a restored Judge.
Sort of seems overly peculiar to me.
Hopefully it checks out and does well on Thursday

Actually the way they say "judge option package" makes me think it isn't. Has that typical sneaky evasive feel, why not say "factory documented Judge option" for example. Probably just means it has the package of stuff added that kinda makes it a judge ;-)

Well here's the PHS right out of the front seat of the car. Forget about the spot light and wrong shifter handle and trim rings. Read the PHS.

The Judge went to 37000 and the owner didn't sell it.

Weird option and not sure why one would want a spot light on a GTO? Seemed to be mounted well though.

Yes it really looked like it was factory or dealer installed. It was functional.

Both the spotlight hole & fender mount antenna hole can be properly repaired. It's the refinishing/blending of the silver paint thats going to be no walk in the park. Add in pulling the trim rings, refinishing the wheels, hope they are the original date matching set of JL's, tough to find date range. Anyone get a good examination under the hood?

Then it sold at Bid goes on after it went off the block. Someone placed a bid and the owner accepted it.

Seeing that spotlight reminded me of a 70 lemans convertible I saw back in the 80's. It basically had that same looking spotlight in the same place. I wondered at that time why someone wanted that on there. And if I remember correctly it wasn't a hack job installation...looked professional.
