Default Hays Clutch Kit

Complete Hays 10.5 clutch kit. $300 shipped.

Here's the deal:
I bought this clutch in January 2019 for my 1965 Corvette during a frame off restoration. I wanted Hays because they've had an excellent record in the high performance arena for decades. So I installed it long before the car was ready for the road. I finally flashed the car last week but found I could not get the transmission to engage. Turned the car off and did some research. Turns out Lars has a paper on this very issue. This kit, the 85-100 Hays will not work with the Corvette clutch fork geometry. The listing, when I bought it, showed it would fit the C2 Corvettes but the listing was incorrect. The Corvette is unique in having only .5 inch of travel at the throw out bearing and needs a different design pressure plate, where all other GM's use the same fork and have .75 inch of travel. So I switched to a different clutch kit. Now I have this virtually brand new Hays clutch kit but because I'm outside of the 90 day return policy, I can not return it. I no longer have my Firebird so it will only sit on my shelf and collect dust. I'd like to get it out there to someone who can use it. This will work with the Muncie M-20 and M-21 or any 10 spline Saginaw or Borg Warner. It will not fit the M-22 or any transmission with the fine spline input shaft. As you can see on the invoice, I paid $352.95 for this kit. If you check eBay today this kit is priced between $394.69-$455.01. So I'll put this one out there at $100 less and I'll eat the shipping to the lower 48. $300 landed at your door step. Does that sound fair?

Glad to oblige brother.
I didn't really want to sell my Firebird but a guy kept coming at me and finally hit me with an offer I couldn't refuse.
So I found this '65 Corvette, it had been sitting in a guy's garage, in pieces, since 1981 but it was all there, complete numbers match 350hp 327 4 speed. It was just tired. So I did the complete resto and now it's almost ready for the road. Couple of minor things left to do.
My heart's always with Pontiac, and I'm always on the lookout for another first gen Firebird or '66/'67 GTO. But I just couldn't pass this one up.
Cheers, Greg

Very nice and a stick!! Have to have a stick in one those short Muncie shifters. My first Impala 4 speed had a taller version. So what do coupe projects go for now? A coupe has always been my dream car since a kid.

Entry level on these C2's ('63-'67) seems to be right around $20K. I've seen some pretty rough projects bring that kind of money. There's virtually nothing in the $15K or less area anymore. But, just like our Firebirds and GTO's, they aren't building any more of them so if a guy wants one he has to step up and pay.
I paid $18K for this one and was very happy at that price. Like I said, it was complete but very tired and looked like this when I bought it:
