Convertible rear seat trim
Trying to get the interior of my 64 convertible finished up and don’t know what the purpose of this trim piece and insert that mounts to the back side of the rear seat is. Can anyone help?

Looks like the piece that the Velcro strip on the boot attaches to. I can’t really tell on mu phone. It’s on the rear seat back right?

Yes it’s on the seat back at the top- looks original but I was wondering if they used Velcro in 64?

Sure did, the strip mounts on the back edge of the rear seat at the top.

Were all convertibles supplied with a boot or was it optional?

Mine came with that exact piece in that exact color. I never made any special order request so it must have been standard. I think that is my first recollection of a commercial use of Velcro. Thanks space program.
