66 Bonneville trailing arms question
I just picked up a 66 Bonneville and I am chasing a terrible shake in the rear end under acceleration that I cannot figure out. My spider gears had some play in them and I thought that might be it but I replaced them with no change. U-joints are original but feel good (I will still be replacing them). I did have it on the lift and notice that the lower trailing arms appear to be slightly bent shout they be perfectly straight? I would think so but what made me wonder is both of them are bent exactly the same. It’s not an extreme bend but on the passenger side of each arm (inside of left and outside of right) is where they are bent. I will try to get a picture of them tomorrow. If they are supposed to be straight will the be the same as 67 Grand Prix or a 68 Catalina? My local salvage yard has a couple of full size B-body’s I could pick.
Thank you |

Control arms off my '65. Ignore the added blocks for the sway bar mounting. Second pic shows the bottom plate added and a spacer block for the Addco bar that was a little narrower than it should have been.
