What is it and where does it go.
This fell out of a bag containing an extra 1967 instrument cluster that I just sold. I know I've seen it before but that's as far as I can remember. Still very soft and pliable. Want to include it if it is part of the cluster but don't want to find out later it belongs to something else and I should have kept it.

Brake pad shim for a lawn tractor? 🤔
I’m sure someone will recognize, I’d speculate it covers unused warning/indicator/etc lamp socket holes. Possibly PRNDLL on a floor shift or manual trans model? |

Did this "sold" 1967 instrument Cluster have a Clock?
My thought would be the slot in the middle of the part would go around the Clock "Time" adjustment stem shaft on the cluster? Guessing though as I know little about 1967 clusters. Tom V.

On 67's the clock is a separate stand alone module from the combined three pod cluster. The cluster was sold to a friend and he has already put the unit together and wasn't receptive to me taking things apart to search for where the gasket might go. His build was a budget process with my used gauges and a somewhat refurbished instrument cluster housing. Except for missing the chrome around each bezel it turned out pretty good.
The gasket could be associated with the clock, but I can't verify that. His dash has the clock but they didn't take the clock module apart during the assembly. I purchased the cluster by itself about 14 years ago when doing another 67 dash and maybe the gasket was included in the box by mistake. The friend convinced the gauges were better in his dash than continuing to sit on my shelf.

If it were original to the dash, would you expect a part number or at least supplier marking? Are there other die-cut gaskets that do not have markings? Seems GM would have required something to assure traceability for QA??
