Default Hagerty

I got an e-mail from Hagerty saying that anyone who could not make their premium payments would not loose their insurance. Here is the body of the e-mail.

As we navigate the continuing impacts of the COVID-19 virus, one thing remains sure: Our commitment to you. With that in mind, effective March 15, 2020, we have put the following into place temporarily to ensure your classic(s) remains covered:
• If you have been impacted by the Coronavirus and are unable to pay your premium on time, please call us at +1 800-922-4050 to request a deferral of payment or discuss other billing options
• You may continue to receive billing invoices and payment reminders, however, your coverage will not be interrupted due to nonpayment
• Learn more here about the measures we've put in place to assist you during this unprecedented time.
Please stay safe and look after your family, friends and fellow enthusiasts. We, like you, can't wait to get back to normal and look forward to seeing you out on the roads very soon.

Sincerely,

Your friends at Hagerty

Classy thing for Hagerty to do. My insurance company for my home and autos is doing the same thing - but I paid my annual bill in full back on November 1....

That's pretty decent. I just got my insurance bills in the mail the other day. If the Gov were to put a stop to my business I would hope that my workers comp payment would at least stop!

I paid my home owners and daily driver insurance in full last month and paid Hagerty in full the first of this month. I am fully retired so I am not in danger of loosing my job unless my wife lays me off!

Well, there is that....

I'm mostly retired too. I sometimes wish my wife would lay me off from doing things on her honeydoo list...
