Default Morning coffee

Massachusetts has “advised” people to stay at home. I go out every morning to get a coffee and a donut. Can’t sit inside but at least I get to see somebody. I live alone and it’s really starting to get to me.

I did spot this while I was “out on the road today”!

I know a lot of people who’s day starts out with a stop at WAWA for coffee and a donut or breakfast sandwich. It’s part of their daily routine, now that routine is completely disrupted sad very sad.

Life is pretty slow to start with in Raynham. Feel free to bring that Tempest out to my Berkley garage!

I'll look for it. The pic though.......Is it the right signal in the left turn only lane? OR else missing a brake light....

There's something on the license plate, but the resolution isn't good enough to determine.

"... I saw a Black Flag sticker on a Cadillac."

Not the original, though.

Winner!

Yes, the Ataris covered that Don Henley song and changed the line. Never thought I’d actually see it but today was the day.

I've been taking the T/A out lately. Not much traffic, and gas is super cheap. I was able to make it from the north shore to the south shore in record time the other day.

Btw, the Ataris version was the better song imo.

The restaurant a quarter mile away has been my "hangout" since I began self-employment in 1986, so I certainly miss the "gang". Fortunately, we can use the stools (if we stay 6' apart!) to await take-outs. So if a couple of us are there we can have a [shouted] brief conversation.

Guess im out of the loop with the Caddy. I thought the license plate meant something like the guy had two right feet.

I stopped going to the Wawa a long time ago. I would end up getting a coffee and a pastry, then maybe a soda or chips for later. End up spending $5-$10 every morning there. That adds up in a years time. Brew my cup-o-joe at home and put in a slice of toast and im good to go. I guess im a loner by default, I do have family in my house (wife, and 2 boys) but dont see a lot of people at work. Honestly dont have 'friends' that I hang out with on a regular basis and im happy to work in the shop alone. I have practiced Social Distancing for years now.

No lights on left side, right side has both brake and reverse lights on.

I get it now
line from the Don Henley song -Boys of Summer , or something like that.

Goes on to say something like "little voice inside my head said don't look back, you can never look back"
"thought i knew what love was, but did i know
those days are gone forever, i should just lettem go" etc etc...

Took a few minutes to get it
I never knew he was saying "... I saw a Black Flag sticker on a Cadillac" or what he was saying on that verse. lol

Black Flag was a roach killer aerosol spray when i was growing up .
Can still remember the TV commercials

I think the photo caught it mid blink (ie, LH turn signal is activated but bulb is blinked off during the photo).

The original line from the Henley version is "I saw a dead head sticker on a Cadillac"; referring to the disparity of a Grateful Dead sticker on a luxury automobile.

It was changed to "black flag" sticker when the Atari's covered it. I am not familiar with them and do not know why it was changed.

Link to the Ataris version is in the OP.

I will guess that they wanted to make it relevant to the times. I like their version better.
After looking at the photo again, it looks to me that the left signal is on and between flashes and on the right side, you see the brake light.

I’m actually on my 10th day of quarantine . It hasn’t bothered me a bit . I spend a lot of solitude time in hotels as it is . I’ve lived next door to one guy for 15 years and I don’t even know his last name ! Lol

Yea, the version I knew was 'dead head sticker on a cadillac'. Guess that's why I was clueless. I always liked that line in the song, I grew up listening to the grateful dead and indeed I had a dead head sticker in the back window of my truck back in the day.
