Here you go. This came off a low-mile, '70 Ram Air III. The ink stamp is white.

I also have the original lower hose off the same car. That one has a yellow ink stamp.

The original tower clamps are dated 2nd quarter of '70, just as an aside...

Let me know if you'd like any more specific pics. Thanks for making these available by the way.

Awesome, but could you pull the clamp off so I can see the whole thing? Also is there a stripe? Need a close up of that.
Thanks

sure, here is one without the clamp on. Looks like "NS" after the part number and "AU" on the second line, followed by an arrow, with "RADIATOR" on the 3rd line...

I don't see any evidence on THIS hose of a stripe, but I know a lot of them did have one/two stripes running down the length of them. It does have a "serrated" groove though (second pic).

i know this has been tossed about before and please feel free to correct me if i'm wrong, but its my understanding that the original part number for at least an 71 upper is 483115 code NS.

i *think* that the 1776 came into play a few years later on down the road and has been a correct Service Replacement to the 3115 as it ultimately superseded that original 71 number???

the lowers appear to be the same 480200/480201 but the uppers i'm not too sure. see enclosed photos....

According to Pete McCarthy, we can draw a pretty close year correlation by the first 3 digits asssigned to a 6 digit part or casting number. So this is what he shows:
1970, 478xxx, 479xxx, 480xxx.
1971, 481xxx, 482xxx, 483xxx, 484xxx.
1972, 485xxx, 486xxx, 487xxx.
1973, 488xxx, 489xxx, 490xxx, 491xxx, 492xxx, 493xxx, 494xxx.
As someone mentioned, if there was no need to change a part or number assignment, an early (smaller) number could be used for later year(s) production.

Well, I had Gods helper look up the # and it doesn't exsist in any parts book or part # history book or my GTO assembly manual or the PY part # look up, but i see what you sent me looks legit. Soooo, I don't know what to tell you except the one im doing is in all the parts books and part# history book as a 71 all # and have had and documented more than a few survivors and original cars so yours must be a minority, not to say it never existed though.
