Default Head Value...

Long story short, I lost my job this week and am in the process of selling off the house and everything to relocate. I have a shed full of '68-72 intakes, valve covers, and stock cylinder heads. Castings are all '60s small valve 11, 12 (both 1969 & 1970 variety), 13, 400 4Xs, & 1974 46s. I know they have little value as they were pulled from running engines maybe 20-25 years ago and have sat on a shelf since then. I doubt I'll get big money for any of them, but I hate to just load them in the truck to the scrap man even though there is probably 1000lbs worth.

Are they worth a thing or are they just junk?

My big car sheet metal has buyers but the heads are an unknown quantity.

12 and 13 have value. The others will be tougher to sell. Where are you located?

East Tennessee outside Knoxville. I'm looking to move stuff quickly since I don't know how long the house will take to sell.

regret reading of your job situation, relocating back in TX?
on selling heads, wouldn't hurt to post casting dates on the 4x-7(s) & the 12's as well as putting up a few pics of the chambers, may have interest.

Yeah, don't get cancer. Companies don't appreciate that these days.

I'm aiming for Texas, would love Austin or San Antonio but the job search hasn't been fruitful there. Honestly I'm going wherever I can get work (high voltage and power electronics engineer) and planning to drop stuff at my parents place if need be.

Might be able to arrange the Fastenal shipping deal. I had heard that deal was off, about a year ago, but have observed talk about it, around...

Ben, I’ll take a ‘72 manifold if you have one. No need to ship; I’ll come get it. Send me a PM with pricing.

Or meet half way...Rebel's zip to Knoxville is less than 60 miles.

Sorry about your situation but make a list and post it.....you might be surprised at the interest.

If you were closer......I would bring a trailer and solve your problem.

One of my Pontiac buddies is a retired electrical engineer. He retired at age of 60. He worked for military, civilian, on AWACS systems. Not much of his day to day job experiences could be spoken of in casual conversations....

Job loss is awful. Believing health issues were a factor makes it hurt more.

Hope you get through both soon.

Here are a few links you can join forum and let ppl now about parts you have.

https://www.facebook.com/40692859945...00026684415204

One is a pay it forward donate type site.

There are other various FB Pontiac groups to join to informal of things you are selling things, like the “first Gen” clubs.
About 5 or 6 different ones.

One other option, contact a local engine machine shop and donate them to their inventory.
