Default 1976 Trans Am restomod

Lubbock, TX $52,000

This 1976 Trans Am restoration was just finished in March 2024. This TA is out of Texas with zero rust, original panels and gapped perfectly straight. Beautiful new Sterling Silver paint, decals and undercoat was completed March 2024. Original black deluxe interior with power windows. Cold Vintage Air with new compressor and heater valve. Interior trim pieces refinished, new windshield and side glass, sound mat & carpet. All new soft seal door and window seals. New Lecerra steering wheel, lower door pockets, front/rear kick panels and package tray. Speedometer was replaced at 42,520 miles with a 160mph head showing 4,550 miles. Original AM/FM radio and 8-track installed but not connected. There is a modern head unit mounted in glovebox with rear mounted amp and 6x9 speakers.

Powered by a 461 ci Pontiac (455 block #485428) with an aggressive .525 lift flat tappet Comp cam, Scorpion 1.65 roller rockers, SD Performance ported 6X-4 iron heads flowing 265 CFM, forged TRW pistons, Torquer II intake and a new Holley 750 Brawler carburetor. The engine had approximately 5000 miles when purchased and installed in 2023. Cam card specs and cylinder head flow test sheets are in pictures. New CFV brackets/pullies and a new 140-amp alternator. New ceramic coated headers with a custom Borla exhaust system. New UMI high torque mini starter and Cold Case radiator. Rebuilt TH400 with 300 miles on it. The rearend is a 10 bolt 8.5” posi with 2.46 gearing.

Detroit Speed quadralink rear suspension, DSE minitubs, DSE subframe connectors and new adjustable coilovers. Front suspension utilizes UMI 2” drop springs with new Bilsteen shocks and sway bar. Vehicle was converted to all wheel disc with new Wilwood dual piston D154/D52 calipers, new master, new slotted/drilled disc and stainless braided lines. New Continental Extreme Contact tires with 245/35/18 in front, 295/35/18 in the rear and billet 18” honeycomb wheels.

If you are looking for a nice restomod TA, this is your car. This TA is beautiful, dialed in and ready to drive anywhere. Not perfect, but very close with a few final touches.
