Who here is running or has ran M/T SS radials? Im on the fence about buying a set. Need a DOT approved that works.

Darby had great results with them. I just bought a set of Hoosier "DOT" radials, but have not mounted them yet. I do not need them for street, and figured the hoosier will have more rubber on the ground since fewer tread cuts than the MT. Darby runs decent HP, so the MT does well!!

I talked to Darby, they worked great him, but his suspension is sorted out and has nice shocks. Just wondered how they are for others.

do you need the dot approval for actual street use or just dot approved for a racing class?

the m/t radial pro 275/60 are dot approved for racing but strangely are not street legal... every comment or review said they are the best m/t drag radial tire & work very well on all track conditions.

Want to drive to the track with them on. If i have to swap tires at the track ill just go with a radial slick

I have a set. They work great for me. As good as the old ET Street Radial and the ET Street Radial Pro but I'm not making that much power either. Another option would be the ET Street R. It's supposed to be better than the S/S but not as good as the Pro.

Quick Time Pro's are a bad azz consistent tire!

I used them with very good results. My car had stock leaf springs and cheap generic rear shocks with CalTrac bars. Low 1.50 short times in a 3500 lb car.

The car we'll be putting these on weighs 4200lbs and gets high 1.5 60fts. It's just stock suspension with cheap shocks.

Yep, not a radial but they got the job done on the 73 and was surprised at how long they lasted (strip use only in my case).

I run Hoosier Quick Times I drive on the street and race at the track .All track here have no radial tire prep.

I have used the old style M/T drag radial and the SS drag radial, now I have the pro drag radial. Still DOT but definitely not something I want to drive in the rain on. All 3 versions work best for me at 17 or 18 psi.

They are a decent tire. DXP street class runs those tires and have been high 4s at 140. That is on a radial prepped track. They should work for what you ar doing for sure.

We have a street legal class here (Street Eliminator) that has to run E marked DOT tyres, the MT SS radial being the tyre of choice in 295 (or 315 if you have any old stock), quite a few cars in the 7 second range, one in the 6.90's on the 315. They only get around 10-12 good runs out of the tyre though, the tread wears very quickly and the tyre 'goes off' too.

We run them on the wife's car and love them. Car goes high 1.40's and never really had any issues with them hooking, even after a bunch of street miles. I was skeptical of them until I was seeing people go stupid fast with them. Our suspension is nothing fancy and the cars about 3500lbs. We use the 275/60/15's.
