Default Car Show Down Under - Hanging Rock

Had a great day at Hanging Rock where there is a yearly all makes, all years car show. I have posted photos from this show for a few years now. Even though we were there the whole day I am sure we did not see every car. The cars are spread over many acres. You need that when you get around 3000 cars show up. Below is just a small sample of the type cars that show up. No trailer Queens here.

As usual, I'll have to wait until I get home to see MYGOAT's pics. For some reason, I can never see them when on the intranet here.
Nice '66 Coupe nikrnic.

I remember you posting last year, thanks again for taking the time to do so. I love to see the variety of cars there.
Cant remember if I asked before or not, but is this the place with the movie about the girls that disappeared?

Yes it is, we jokingly keep warning our wives about wandering off. There are trails that lead up to the rock. You can see it in the background of the photo of my black 67 GTO.

Tony, I know a few guys (not me) who would NOT object if their wives did take a walk up the rock! You can only hope.....

Great pictures mate. Love the guy with the rabbit on his shoulder. I'm fairly sure I saw that same guy years ago and his rabbit stared down a decent sized dog at a previous show I went to. Rabbits have pretty long claws....

I thought that's what the 'hill' in the back ground was.

Yep, that bloke with the rabbit has been around for years. I wonder if it's the same one. I have no idea how long they live for.

Tony, next to the white XP Falcon Coupe with the red roof, there is a white '64 Impala Coupe.

Do you happen to have any pictures of that? Was it RHD? Did it have a black interior? Mate of mine used to own one and we were only talking about it last week - he was saying he hadn't seen it for 10 years or more and was wondering whether it was still in Victoria. He owned it from when it was only about 12 years old (1976) and only sold it about 2005. The same car was featured in a really early issue of Custom Rodder back when Pete owned it. He had it well set up, wheels, disk brakes, 4 speed box on the floor, lowered, big motor etc but as he got older he put it all back to original with its original 327ci auto box. He has pretty fond memories of that car.

G'Day Ian,

Sorry no pic of that car but I do recall that it was RHD with black interior.

Thanks Tony
Showed the pictures to Pete tonight and he is positive that's his old car. Picked it by the remote left hand mirror and the fact it is White, RHD, & Black interior, well, how many are there over here? Great to see its still obviously its in much the same shape as when he had it.
Cheers
Ian

Love it. Wish there were more around to see. Great example of a survivor. Thank you for taking a pic of it.

I'm not a Ford guy, generally speaking, but I really like that black 63-1/2 Galaxie.
