Default Recasting a steering wheel

Who are you guys using to recast a stock steering wheel. I have gotten an estimate of 510 and that just seems a little high

For my clarification, places re-cast old steering wheels (for example the 1968 firebird deluxe wheel) using the original hard parts?
What are some of the names of these places?

I used Koch's in California. It was about $500. They did a beautiful job with a lifetime guarantee.

I’m thinking your choices will be quite limited, I doubt more than one or two places even offer this service for ‘64 -‘65 deluxe steering wheels.

Hard to go wrong with Koch’s and they might quite possibly be your only choice.

They did a fine job. Jaimie (pronounced hymey) is the guy you want to talk to if someone decides to deal with them.

Default wheel

The guy in North Carolina still does them but I think the price is up to $1800 and a long lead time.

I have heard of the Swedish connection, the price seems intriguing.
Sent a wheel to a place called "Backwards Unlimited" in WA last Fall only to find out that they have no mold for my wheel. Nice. Thought we had clarified that on the phone???
They seem unwilling to return the wheel so it may prove to be more "expensive" than I had planned.

There is a place in NC that will do it for 400 and they will cast it in your interior color. Not painted but actually cast in that color. Guess I’ll go with them.
