Default Temp Sensor Location

I will need to add an additional temp sensor to my system for an E-fan.

What about if I drilled and tig welded a bung to the plate in front of my manifold? -see pic.

Why wouldn't that work?

I would save the original plate and simply make one like it or a little heavier gauge.

why not use the space where the 2 prong switch is now?
Napa sells alot of fan switches. I like a turn on at 179 , gives a little head start on the cooling so it doesnt get to saturation. Keep in mind that its alot hotter on the head so 179 is NOT too early

The two prong switch is for the stock temp. gauge. mrtonegto probably dose not want to disable the temp gauge.
There is also The flat on the other side of the water cross over, drill and tap there for the sensor.

I've changed that switch to a tube for my mechanic gauge but, like Ollie said, I dont want to disable that gauge.

Ollie solved my issue in another thread - he showed were there's an alternate position between #1 and #3 on the head.
