Any info is good info when it come to our cars. Knowing this though blows me away. I knew they put all those scoops on the formula one cars for a reason but didn't know why. Now we do. Thaks Alvin.

One still has to remember that what comes in. Still has to go out at a equal rate.

While catching up on watching a DVR'd Trans Am race from past weekend, an ad for "3-Dimensional Group" http://3dimensional.com/index.jsp was shown, and I thought it was too bad w all of the available dwgs complete systems couldn't be made by a firm like them with their tag line:

'Ask yourself two questions. Are you behind the curve in product launch? Do you have a design that just doesn’t seem to be working? If you’re having difficulty answering these questions, chances are the 3-Dimensional Services Group has the solution. We’re experts in bringing part concepts to reality and laying design challenges to rest. We design and build prototypes with manufacturing intent in mind, and we do it faster than you can imagine. We also provide low-volume production runs. As you navigate our site, you’ll see why we are "the unbelievable prototyping company."'

MYAM thats not really correct. You can put more out then in as far as air , thats why the exhaust valves are smaller. You can get more air out then in with the same or even smaller amount of room.

Is it possible to under carb a ram air system? Maybe not achieve the full potential of your engine? (650 cfm/800cfm)? Maybe that's what I'm confused about.

Yes it's very easy to have to little carb & that way you will run out of gas when you need it to feed the engine properly.

Cool

I just love this hood detail drawing, especially since it's what was designed for our 1973 Grand Am

Here's the earlier version (IIRC - '70 or '71?) of the Wangers type of advertising I remember as a kid - all hyped and hopped up on Pontiac performance!

Reason for this post? Note the 1971 advertised "Positive Pressure Area"...below vvvv

That said - love to see all of this happen soon. Thxs to all for your efforts to make it happen.

Edit: The Subject Hood Design Deserves to be included here, yes?

Because for now, our GA induction is somewhat "suppressed"...

Courtesy of the Pontiac-Oakland Museum, I found some very interesting pics for you 73-77 A-Body guys. Some of these pics are very hard to locate within the vast library of the museum, but persistence, and a little Excedrin, seem to help.

1973 Grand Prix in the paint drying booth

The SD455 that never was.
