Just picked up a new project and the gas tank is swiss cheese. Would a chevy gas tank interchange ?

I want to install a tanks inc. tank.

Hollander's Manual doesn't show any interchange for '53-54 Pontiac tank.

I think the filler neck will need to be repositioned to make the Chevy tank work. If the tank in my 1950 silver Streak is bad I will get one from this company. There are four different ones with the filler neck location being the only difference.

Thanks for the link. Just like you stated the chevy tank neck is father back than the pontiac or buick b style tanks. Thanks again for the info.

I had heard that a 54 Buick tank will work.

I ordered the chevy tank. Been gathering other parts for the car waiting on some warmer weather. I think I will be able to fabricate a new neck to clear the frame rail if needed. Can't wait for spring to get here.
