That car is deserving of a restoration...even if it means having to sell one of the beautiful GTO's below it to do it. I found some old pictures of it in Assassin trim from back in the day, will see if I can find and post them again.

Glad to know it's in good hands, A guy I know, was the one who found this car, by word of mouth, in a backyard in Peoria, Ill, I was wanting to buy it from him , but I was Laid off from GM at the time, and transfering to another plant, (right car/ wrong time), he didn't have it very long. how are you planning to restore it? that car was lighter and a little more "cutting edge" in construction, (Lil John Buttera built) than Arnie's car.

It looks like the same car as shown on Steve Barcak's website with Mickey Thompson (but with a different axle, rims, and a blower).

http://pontiacheaven.org/pontiac%20history.htm

Same car? Same manufacturer maybe? Could that be Mickey standing to the right of the car?

Now that is dedication and die-hard enthusiasm! I know Arnie ran during that campaign... Wouldn't be great to be able to go racing during the winter up in the north! I'm getting anxious already !!! I found myself shifting my GMC manually when I left work yesterday - IN THE SNOW !!!

interesting story on the Tyree funny car.The guy lining the car up is Mike Liebi who STILL helps Jess with the car and is the guy who built my present and past 63 Lemans. Also the guy driving the car is not Jess.It is Dale Williams ,he picked up the honors after Jess got burned in a funny car fire.FYI,Tom

Default Swiss Cheese RAV

This is a shot of Ray Bisig's (The Medicine Man) 1963 Swiss Cheese car. This was originally Arine's car. This shot was taken at Rockford Dragway (IL), I'm guessing around 1971. When Ray raced the car, it had RAV tunnel port heads and ran in the 11's. Photo courtesy of Glen Brown

Who would know more information about the car concerning specifications of launch rpm's/stall, shift rpms, gearing, etc?
