2. I read the postings about using a VIR eliminator. I went ahead and bought one from Classic Auto Air. Works very well. Blows cold. I need it here in Western North Carolina. It's been hot.

Other than that, I've been driving it. Lots of fun and gets lots of great looks/feedback. Will be taking it to a local show this weekend.

Paul~
Interesting. Care to share: Why did it take 4 windshields? Was it a defect in the 3 that didn't fit or?

Alvin,

On the windshields, I tried to salvage the original one because of the factory stampings. When I tried heating the glue with my heat gun, it broke. The 2nd windshield was broken by the body shop when they tried to take it back out after mounting it. The 3rd windshield was broken when the trim was being put on. The very last clip, too much pressure and crack. The 4th one is in and I've got trim. Yee-Haa!

As the GTO is done, I detailed it today and took some photographs similar to the original set when I bought the car. Here we go.

Paul, the car looks great, the only thing I'd like to see is for you to paint the silver or chrome trim that goes around the edge of the tail lamp lens. Also I know you want it ALL stock , but for me I really like the Grand Am tail lamp lens's with the chrome bar that splits the tail lamp down the center length of it. I have them on my car & I have the original lens's but the G/A style lens's look more like what a GTO should have. Split front grilles & split rear lamps to. IMO. Any way very nice job. I know it took a little off your nerves to get it done , but it turned out very nice. Great Job. !!!!

Yes. PHS documentation lists it on the invoice @ $31.00 suggested and the original owner paid $24.18. Paul~
