Remember to clear your cookies. You computer will "help" you by keeping the old version of a website stored on your computer until you clean out the crap.

I'm about to give up getting back on. I've tried every suggestion and nothing. Bad timing too...right in the middle of restoring my car.

Still the same for me. I tried three times today and was only successful once to reach the site. I cleared my cookies as well.

I took my 5 times & had to reboot twice to be able to get on but then I could get back on right away after that. I'll get on again tonight to see if anything new , as I try to post something at least once a week just to keep things going.

Deathnell nail in the coffin or last gasps for ABody?

No matter too much BS to access IMO...didn't even make the attempt with new iPad mini...just now used the "working link" posted previously on this thread with our BRAND NEW 1st time Internet (clean no cookies, etc.) access SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab S2 and defaulted directly to the "/f" main BoardNation link...NOT the ABody website.

So it's the boardnation website that's jacked up FWIW.

Default Abody site

Might be worth a try. Looked up internet problems and found it could be something happened to the registry in Internet explorer. But resetting Internet explorer from Microsoft web page will revert back to its original state. That means it could clear out all your saved passes words, cookies and downloaded tool bars from other sites. If you want to try resetting Internet explorer suggest you go to Microsoft web site and read about what could have caused these changes and what else will change.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/w...lorer-settings

Just clicked on favorites again and it popped up with no problem.

Default Mac Abody site

Decided to power up my old mac. (Lamp shade type) Downloading updates from 2010! Most all the updates are for Office 2004! Switched from Safari to Google and typed in the search box “the a-body site’s message board/classifides” and you are right it did not open. It showed a weird address and page could not be found. Read a few suggestions but not ready to figure out how to use that old mac. The old Abody favorite is still there, but it did not work. Have another Mac laptop Power book G4 and will try and power it up and see if has the same problem.

Who owns/runs the site?

Sounds like they need to change providers or something?

Default Mac on Abody

You are not going to believe this, but started playing around with some of the Mac buttons and found internet explorer is on this machine and it opened the Abody site. Hard to believe this old Mac still works!

Default A-Body Site

They have had on and off problems with Boardnation over the years. I tried logging in this morning and it was a no-go. Evidently they are in a problem stage once again.

Yes, and to think it only took 35+ posts here on PY AMES to verify current "problem"

That said, understood it's a free site, volunteers, greatly appreciated, etc...if it ain't fixed soon, it'll be going the same outcome as the former Pontiac motor division...

Yes, there won't be much new to read if most people can no longer get on the site.

My problems with not being able to get on the site started about 15 months ago. I had a thread here about it then and tried all the suggested remedies and some people tried to help, even checking to see if my computer's IP address was blocked, but nothing worked. The old thread here: http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...ght=IP+address

I just can't get there from here on my home computer. Back when the problem started, I could still get on at work with the computer there. Out of curiosity, I need to try the work computer again, just to see if it still works there.

Here's an article for Firefox that may help?
(didn't try it)

Firefox website not available

If it's possible sometimes to go there with other browsers, it's probably a setting or whatever in that browser?
(or security setting, dns pre-fetching, etc)

Thx for the Firefox link John...I won't be using it though, and doubtful many potential new users will either...

Know Mur is a longtime FF advocate & user, so understood @ my 1st post here on topic was prolly reason "no problem" for his accessing the ABody site...point is vast #'s of OTHER operating platforms and latest platforms diverted to the "/f" url main screen...and older standard OS's diverted the same...although almost comical that OLD IE platform/systems able to log-in = crazy.

End of

Yep now today I can't get there either and like you said Alvin if they don't get it figured out it won't last long when you can't log on! Ok, just tried again and went right to it, not sure what the secret is?

Lyn.
