Does anyone know of a place that will restore / replate my original brake booster/master cylinder? Thank you.

I got my booster back from Steve Gregori (http://www.brakeboosters.com) yesterday. It's beautiful -- I'm really impressed. He did the master cylinder lid and a few other things too. I don't think he does master cylinders, though.

Steve Gregori did my booster and lid. His work is very nice. 1969 GTO Judge. M/C is painted Eastwood cast gray. I still need to finish installing the lines.

If you have power disc brakes, you can buy a brand new reproduction master
cylinder for your GTO that is correct, with the original correct casting number, bleeders on the side, we're talking a perfect reproduction! You won't find this in any Pontiac vendor's catalog, but the Chevy vendors are selling these master cylinders for 69 Z/28 camaros. The only catch is that you have to use the long "chevy" pushrod on the front of your brake booster instead of the short rod used by Pontiac and Oldsmobile. If you buy the reproduction booster that Performance Years sells, it comes with both short and long pushrods . Inline Tube sells a reproduction auxiliary valve and bracket. I put all these on my car and they work perfectly! The only thing you have to do to the new master cylinder to satisfy the most anal car show judge is to restamp it EA after filing down the stamping surface on the front. I would not mess with rebuilt parts on something as important as brakes when the new parts are so reasonably priced. To find one of these repro master cylinders go to Ebay motors and click on 69 Z/28 master cylinder. You will see them for sale for about 150.00. |

One more thing......If you have the above mentioned disc brake master cylinder,
you don't have to waste time having the lid replated....GM still sells brand new ones for almost nothing.....I recently bought seven of them so that when the plating starts to dull I'll just pop on another one....Go to your GM dealer and order part no. 18060017. The plating on these new GM lids is absolutely gorgeous....and you know the finish is correct....it's plated by the GENERAL! |

We do the correct plating on the boosters, not the overpolished stuff you see. $125 includes booster, lids and PV bracket.
