#573 California Carb
Here are some pics of my 70 TA RAIV Carb & intake. It really is a mint unit, has all wires/idlestop/aircleaner ground/port on rear. Been in Cal. it's whole existence.
Date 1070 WR. This for my 70 TA RAIV, orig. sold in Los Gatos, Cal. |

I wonder if that's the exact car used for the 'Super Stock' magazine article - there are underhood shots of the T/A being a California bound RAIV - and since there are only 88 LS1 '70 T/A's I would have to suspect that not too many were California bound...

That mag was from april, I think. Funny, as the 70 RAIVs were made july/aug. of 70. I feel pretty lucky to have this mint complete setup for my RAIV Cal. TA.

Unless it was production L74 car, with an LS1 installed in place - which means someone may have removed an LS1 from their 1970 T/A, and put in an L74 - even though it was a GM testing RAIV car... I beleive you are correct, because I seem to recall all the 1970 Firebird road tests were in the march/april 1970 car magazines...

Yes, I would say it was a RAIII TA. Check out rounded scoop. I can post any orig. mag pics, as I've collected all vintage 70 TA mags.
