Default 1966 GTO inner heater box

I am looking for a good inner heater box that will fit a 66 GTO non A/C car. I am not sure if all A bodies are the same or needs to be 66 only. Maybe someone that knows can chime in.

Default '66 A Body heater box

This is a '66 Malibu 300 unit, I recently sold to an individual restoring a '67 SS 396. Yep pictures aren't that great, but was trying to emphasize the fact it was a desert piece, and not rotten. Two other donors were local yard, a '64 skylark, and another '66 malibu four door sedan. Did not buy any HVAC stuff from either, as the malibu had been hit extremly hard, RF, and the skylark was originally from Connecticut. Complete with bubbling rust and rot. How it found it's way down here, was a big mystery.

I've been hearing 66/67 GTO and Chevelle the same. Is there any difference in the 64/65 to the 66/67?

Frankly don't know. my experience parting cars has been primarily '68 to '72 stuff, with a handful of '66 / '67 examples. Am guessing the box itself, is the same, with cable differences and possibly the aluminum unit on the top of the metal box being different. So I'd personally look for a '66/'67 unit.

My understanding is that 64-67 are the same. I can't swear to that, but my son has a 65 non-A/C parts car; if you're interested, I can pull it and see what condition it's in.

Called the CASE ASSY., heater, my MPC shows 64-65 T6, T8, non AC use the same box and 66-67 T6, T8 non AC use the same box. Can't help you on the other GM manufactures. Sorry!!

Thank you but I already got one. Needed to be 66/67 only for some reason according to my research.
